Bienvenidos a Miami, Gallivanters
Welcome to a day, or should I say, a night in Miami.
A day trip is one thing, and I’d even recommend it for places like Asheville or Savannah, but where in the world would be worth traveling to just for one night?
Miami, Florida offers all the heat, sunshine, nightlife, and entertainment for a lifetime in just one evening.
For non-locals, myself included, I’d recommend visiting in December or January, so this itinerary will be seasonal to those winter months. But don’t worry, Miami has still been averaging about 75 degrees Fahrenheit at that time.
Miami’s Art District/Art Basel
Art Basel is an annual, international art fair that takes place in Miami, Hong Kong, and Paris.
This year’s Art Basel takes place December 6th-8th, and will display contempory pieces in multiple galleries, attracting visitors to Miami from all over the world.
If you don’t consider yourself an art snob or just want to get out and explore more of the city, I do recommend starting your afternoon in Wynwood, a neighborhood in Midtown considered Miami’s Art District.

Ocean Drive – South Beach
Oceanfront hotels, cafes, and clubs line Ocean Drive in South Beach, all of which are open late and are ready to entertain all night long.
South Beach is a hub of activity and offers stunning sunsets on a backdrop of incredible views as it is lit up at night.
Gianni’s Restaurant At The Former Versace Mansion
The former home of fashion designer Gianni Versace is now part restaurant part hotel.
Located right on Ocean Drive in South Beach, the Versace Mansion offers a unique start to your night.
Whether you share Gianni Versace’s love for stunning mosiacs and architecture, or Cacio e Pepe, dining at the former home of the incredible designer makes for a night like no other.
Palace
In limited characters, Palace encompasses a lot of what Miami is famous for: great music, fun, culture, and experience.
Sit along Ocean Drive with a view out to the ocean and enjoy the show!
