A Day in Savannah, Georgia

Welcome back Gallivanters!

Gas up the car, pack your bags, and let’s head down south. Cause I’ve got Georgia on my mind.

Cobblestone streets, Spanish moss trees, and beautiful architecture make Savannah, Georgia the perfect weekend getaway.

I visited Savannah and Tybee Island with my closest girlfriends, so make it a girls trip!

Although we just spent a day in Savannah, I highly recommend extending your trip so you can experience all that Savannah offers.

Without further ado, let’s spend a day in Savannah Georgia.

Transportation – Old Town Trolley Tours

The Old Town Trolley offers tourists a way to see the city in an authentic way, while riding in style.

The Hop-on, Hop-off service makes 15 stops around the city’s most popular destinations.

Adult tickets run around $29 for the day and include free parking for passengers.

Site seeing – Forsyth Park

Forsyth Park is Stop #5 on the Trolley tour and is located in Savannah’s historic district.

With over 30 acres to explore, Forsyth Park is home to Savannah’s infamous fountain.

The fountain is over 150 years old and is considered one of the most photographed (instagramable) places in all of the city.

Shopping – River Street

Make your way to River Street for all the food, fun, and shopping.

There are several local artisans, galleries and souvineer shops to check out right along the river front.

If you want to get fancy, then book your spot on the Georgia Queen for a scenic river cruise for some more sightseeing.

Dinner – Vic’s on the River

If The Pink House is all booked up, I’d recommend checking out Vic’s on the River.

Vic’s is known for its high-end, classic southern cuisine.

The restaurant is located right along the Savannah River, so make sure to reserve a seat at a window table to take advantage of the stunning view.

Entertainment – Savannah Smiles Dueling Pianos

If wandering Savannah’s historic graveyards at midnight isn’t your thing, Savannah offers plenty of other nightlife activities.

Savannah Smiles Dueling Pianos has live pianists, music, and entertainment.

You, your friends, and a room full of strangers can belt out your favorite songs to the tune of the piano.

Well folks, I hope you have an amazing day in Savannah Georgia.

Y’all come back now!
